Our values.

Communities

Studio Osmo is a hybrid design space that welcomes people from all disciplines. Collaborative projects are essential for developing more meaningful innovations worldwide.

We have people visiting us, chatting with us, and bringing their materials problems to us. We’re not hiding behind closed doors and invite all minds and skills from academia and design to join.

We listen to what you’re saying. We want to understand your material problems and concerns while integrating an awareness of all stakeholders including local communities, and environments into each project. We respect their needs by incorporating local knowledge and aligning our values with the communities we work with.

We inspire people with alternative approaches to developing and interacting with materials. Creating a deeper level of empathy for these materials, and products, fostering mindfulness within all our projects, we cultivate a meaningful consideration of both the immediate and long term impacts of the materials we work with.

Intersections

Promoting ideas through cross-collaboration is vital to Osmo. Amalgamating ideas fuels the developments of materials. We strive to unveil the inspiring intersections of minds that give rise to truly unique ideas.

We are not only pushing the boundaries, we are also encouraging an inclusive environment. We recognise and promote innovative individuals – everyone has something valuable to contribute.

Studio Osmo expands beyond the boundaries of fashion, interiors, automotives, and technology. We are accelerating knowledge exchange, creating a positive environment where individuals feel safe to prosper and grow. Here, no hierarchy of minds exists, everyone’s skill set is equal regardless of the project.

Rebirth

How do we consider the next life of a material before its first?

Designing for future iterations of a material enables us to retain material value within a concept or product. Knowing a material won’t last forever, we can be more mindful of what will happen to it in the future.

We inspire diverse ways of thinking about how we can adapt our relationship with the materials and objects surrounding us. Promoting stronger relationships with our materials involves integrating the idea of a materials mortality, which we achieve by inspiring designers and makers to shoulder accountability, integrated recycling, upcycling, and reuse systems across all projects.

Our framework is meticulously integrated within our projects to instil a moral compass for our stuido’s sustainable thinking. We promote a new relationship by acknowledging interconnected ecosystems, and emphasising our moral imperative to safeguard the environment.
